The MU-4000V 5-axis vertical machining center has a very large work envelope while maintaining the smallest foot print possible. The X-axis travel of 740mm allows for work on a maximum 500 mm part diameter. The B-axis trunnion is a fully supported design, with no overhanging mass. The MU-4000V weighs in at 9,700 kg, and its fully supported axes construction allows the machine to utilize a broad range of spindles, ranging from 12k to 25k rpm, to handle all complex shapes and hard-to-machine materials. The automation-friendly design allows for great operator accessibility when utilizing a 2 APC, Pallet Pool, or FMS system. ATCs can be configured to meet growing demands by 32-64 tool chain magazines to 64 plus matrix cabinets. In addition, the MU-4000V-L series handles turning functions up to 1,200 rpm, enabling complex turning and machining geometries on one machine.
